Podcast | 11.10 - House Arrest 02: This Is Where I Come From

Hi there disco boys and girls-

For this month's podcast, I thought I would revisit my "House Arrest" series and mix together some of the house music classics that were truly influential in my early days as a little raver boy.

In the late 90's and early 2000's, disco and funky house music were taking over the European house scene.  Dance music heroes such as Roger Sanchez, Joey Negro, Basement Jaxx, and Daft Punk were making incredible songs one after the other, and they truly influenced my growth in dance music.  This podcast is chock-full of songs that inspired me to learn how to DJ and share music that moved me.

In this mix, you'll find original house cuts that have been sampled over and over, and will hear disco, funk, soul, and even gospel house blend together.  I am very proud of this mix, as it truly represents "Where I Come From".  I hope you enjoy it!

As always, you can find my music by subscribing to my podcast on iTunes, or you can download or listen to each mix on Podomatic.

Without further ado, I present to you:

Podcast | 11.03 - RUFF HOUSE - Round 1: with DJ's Christopher B, pTyrone, and Joseph Lee

Hey there disco boys and girls-

For my new podcast, I was asked to collaborate with 3 other amazing San Francisco DJ's to promote an upcoming party this Saturday - RUFF HOUSE, the official Saturday night party of Renegade Weekend here in San Francisco.

The intent of the party is to show the sexier and tougher side of house music, and it's inspired by everything from rock and roll to country and electro.  I'm looking forward to spinning with my fellow DJ's this Saturday! For more details on the RUFF HOUSE and Reneage Weekend, click on the links:
